With another Festive season upon us, I thought it a good time to talk about healing and change, and what we can do for ourselves as we head into the much talked about exciting new year of 2012.
A lot has been said about the year 2012 and all that might happen. I’ve talked about this before, but it’s in the forefront of a lot of people’s minds, so as we move into the year of that famous date – 2012 – it’s worth reviewing where we are at now.
The changes are already happening and have been gradually creeping up on us for a long while now! Thoughts are changing, people are changing, and we are all becoming more discerning about what we allow to happen in our lives, nationally and globally. We are choosing more ethical choices and options, and taking more ownership of our own thoughts, actions and wellbeing. This isn’t about a wild revolution, but it IS subtle transformation. And subtle transformation of unconditional love within us is the most powerful and empowering force in the Universe.
So much positive change is beginning to stir in the world that it creates a momentum of holistic goodness, and spreads its energy throughout the entire Earth’s energy field. THAT is what 2012 is about. It is about becoming more conscious of who we are and what we are doing to ourselves and our planet. It is about imbuing ourselves and our Earthly Creation with a higher vibration of unconditional love and caring.
If you are feeling confused about how to manifest that in your life, begin looking within yourself. That’s where change really starts. As Mahatma Ghandi said: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” It’s when we change the focus and thoughts within ourselves into constructive and more positive patterns that we begin to heal issues around us on the outside. Once we become consciously aware of something that isn’t working for us we can begin to shift the energy of it into a more positive light. Our perspective changes and we become more interactive rather than reactive. It’s not always an easy thing to do, but has a profound effect on our own lives and those around us when we can shift even the smallest vibration.
One way you can do this for yourself is to identify a negative thought pattern you have and change it into a positive one. Consciously make a choice to release the negative pattern, and to accept the positive one. Write down the positive thought, feel it, speak it, and see it in images. Use all your senses, and feel your new thought deep within. Allow it to become all that you are. Feel the change in your cells, and if the wrong programme pops back in, be gentle on yourself, release it and change it again. And believe in it.
I hate myself. Release that and change your thinking to
“I know God/Creator’s definition of how to love myself.”
I am fat. Release that and change your thinking to
“I know how to be slim and healthy, and I choose it.”
I am a failure. Release that and change your thinking to
“I am a success and know how to succeed.”
It’s my fault. Release that and change your thinking to
“I forgive myself.”
Life is a struggle. Release that and change your thinking to
“Life is an adventure, and I accept fun into my life. I enjoy the journey.”
Changing your thinking can help you towards change and give you ownership of what thoughts you allow into your life. Sit for a moment and allow a negative thought to arise. Accept it without judgement. Now think of words that can turn that thought around, just like the above examples. Choose to consciously accept your new positive thoughts in your mind and heart, and allow the old thought to release.
You can do the same with a fear. Sometimes we don’t like to release fears because they keep us safe, so be discerning how you choose your words. Think of your fear, then think of a positive statement to replace it, adding “…and it is safe”. An example for this could be:
I fear being alone. Release that and change to
“I have great friends around me, and it is safe.”
Our thinking creates our reality. Really, it does! So when we choose to change our thinking, then we can create a better world for ourselves and those around us. It really does begin with us. Our new thoughts create that new energy around us, and it vibrates out into our world, nationally and globally. When we believe in our thoughts, that is what our world becomes because those new thoughts are the creators of our reality. That is the power of our minds, our hearts, our thoughts and our soul-calling in action, and the unconditional love we embrace it all with is the force of the Universe creating the new us – and the new world.
Sometimes it can be difficult for us to heal and release emotions, blocks and subconscious patterns for ourselves because we just can’t see them, or we might have something a lot deeper unlying it all. We really don’t know what they are, yet at the same time we’re aware something is affecting us. They can be tucked away in all sorts of interesting places within us like organs, muscles, tissue, cells, DNA, bone structure, and so on, and it’s those stored patterns and energy that can create Dis-Ease and Dis-Comfort in our bodies. It can be frighteningly that simple. We use no more than about 12% of our brain capacity, the rest of which is only just beginning to be recognised by science. Likewise, we are only consciously aware of a small amount of the programmes and thinking tucked within our being, but the rest of them are still affecting us in all sorts of ways. It’s these subconscious thoughts, the ones we haven’t yet met, that can affect us at an incredibly deep level, yet they can gently surface into our consciousness for releasing as well.
